A Turkey Sandwich With Swiss Cheese, Lettuce And Apples On The Side That Are Not Very Good
Yesterday Janna and I played host to my mother and an old friend of our family, Mrs. Smalley. We made a lovely dinner and Janna apparently went to Meijer Gardens with the gals. Mrs. Smalley is pushing 90, she's a former secretary in my fathers office. We would have taken some pictures of this event, however we were simply to bored listening to her yap about a turkey sandwich she had the other day, a Shepard's Pie that was to big, how she's fed up with the Sheraton Hotel's buffet because the prime rib is rare and countless Alabama relatives of hers that we have never met. Needless to say, while five minutes is tolerable, an entire dinner was almost unbearable. We were happy to see them return to Lansing.

Yes, dear, but she is a dear for all that. She just has forgotten how to be interesting, that's all. She's a sweet old thing though.
No one denies she's a "sweet old thing." I do notice that you don't deny that you were bored to tears with her discussion of chicken salad with some woman named Phyllis.
what, no pictures?
Maybe a nice picture of a bloody slab of cow side would be a nice addition to this post. It was one the problems at the buffet, you know.
I would take that post down before Mrs. Smalley or someone who knows her reads it. Learn from my mistakes.
Yeah, we're really not all that worried about Mrs. Smalley finding out.
