Our Rotten Weekend, Filled With Chokers

Our weekend was rotten. First, we drove to my folks house on Friday so that we could drop Seamus off after which we drove to Detroit for the Tigers game. While we had some wonderful food at the Astoria Pastry Shop (Janna had a chocolate canoli, I had pumpkin cheesecake) the rest of the trip was awful. We went to the Tigers game and watched them blow the division. On Saturday Janna went with mother Birn to Ikea while I went with my old man to watch the begining of the end of the John L. Smith regime in East Lansing.
Seamus and Zoe are happy to see eachother. Seamus is always excited about seeing his sister.
Seamus and Zoe do their best hippopotamus impressions
Janna looks out at Comerica Park after having enjoyed a delightful chicken sandwich at Montgomery Inn.
Our seats were upstairs in right field, a lovely view. Wooo!
It was a cool evening so Janna wore her favorite Michigan State hoodie, but what's she looking at?
Why it's beautiful downtown Detroit!
Those chokers could have won the division!
Bah! Chokers!

Speaking of chokers, it's John Loser Smith!
It's now Saturday and Janna dreams of buying a new coffee table at Ikea.
Meanwhile Seamus and Zoe have a debate over who controls the bones, aren't they adorable?
Janna is not only amused by the playful puppys but she's also giddy about the new Ikea coffee table she bought.

The caption under the picture of Janna at the game should read "WHAT am I DOING here." No doubt, that is what she was thinking.

And what? No picture of the coffee table? I feel cheated.

For the record, she wanted to go to the game. I said no, we shouldn't go and she said let's go.

Pumpkin cheescake? That's just wrong in so many ways.

I'd say Janna's looking at something rather unsettling. Perhaps some nachos without cheese sauce and salsa? That would certianly perplex ANYBODY, much less Janna.

Whatever she's looking at is two degrees away from getting the death glare.

I protest the blatant feminism Steve shows in these posts. All the pictures are of Janna, which would suggest that the man is not important. It's like Gloria Steinem puts these up. Equal representation, say I, equal representation!

Pumpkin cheesecake is absolutely wonderful, those of us of taste understand as such.

The man in the house controls which pictures are put up, the ultimate decision lies with me alone.

The death glare?

Whatever.
